Am I under your control?

Absolutely not! You cannot be made to do or say anything against your will. It is in fact the opposite! For hypnotherapy to be effective, you have to want to accept the ideas suggested.  Contrary to what you may have seen on TV, which is purely for the purposes of entertainment, you generally remain aware of and remember the session.

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

No! I will always make sure you are comfortable, fully alert and ready to carry on with the rest of your day.

What does it feel like?

We call a state of hypnosis a “trance state” which feels just the same as when just before you fall asleep or as you are waking up.  It feels a bit like daydreaming and can be very pleasant. We often enter a hypnotic state when driving, reading a book or watching TV.

What else should I know?

Hypnotherapy is most effective when you come to it of your own free will. If you feel pressured to seek help but aren’t truly ready, it may hinder the effectiveness of the process.

In between sessions, I may assign you “homework” to complete. The more effort you invest in this work, the greater your potential for progress and transformation. Your commitment plays a crucial role in achieving the results you desire.

Is it safe?

It is completely safe when used by a qualified, insured professional such as myself.  Hypnotherapy is a safe, natural state of deep relaxation. However, hypnotherapy is not suggested for people with Epilepsy, Schizophrenia, Bipolar or any other serious mental health issues. Please always check with your registered GP first if you are unsure. I ask all clients to attend sessions free from any alcohol or drugs.

How many sessions do I need?

Everyone is individual and experiences things differently, Some things may only need 2-3 sessions.Issues that are deeper or have many layers may require over 6 sessions. I will advise you as we work together.
